The 2012 Fort Bend County Fair Go Tejano Day sponsored by Classic Chevrolet of Sugar Land is Sunday, September 30.  Fairgoers should be prepared for an afternoon and evening of great entertainment.  The gates will open at noon and the music will play into the evening.

Brazos Stage will feature live musical performances by Siggno, Elida Reyna, Los Monarcas, Crystal n Crew, The Garcia Band, Grupo Ligero and DJ Six Shooter.

The Texas Stage will kickoff at noon with DJ Randy followed by performances from Ballet Guadalupe Folkorico, Camryn Gonzales, Samantha Garcia, Stephanie Serna, Mariachi Fuego and Mariachi Con Amor.

At 7pm, Rosenberg Mayor Vincent Morales will present the proclamation declaring September 30 as Fort Bend County Go Tejano Day.  Following the presentation, the Go Tejano Committee will announce the 2012 Go Tejano Hall of Fame Inductee.  To be nominated for this honor, they have to encourage and support Hispanic Heritage and Culture.

According to Michael Gutierrez, Director in Charge, “This year’s Go Tejano Day will be even better than in the past and will be a fun-filled day for all who come.”  He also stated that “he appreciates the hard-work and dedication of the Go Tejano Committee”.
