Fort Bend ISD Schools host Grandparents’ Day celebrations

Grandparents’ Day was Sunday, September 9, and to commemorate the occasion, several Fort Bend ISD campuses held celebrations the following week to honor their grandparents for all they do to support their grandchildren and our school system.

One of FBISD schools celebrating Grandparent’s Day was Blue Ridge Elementary who welcomed 114 grandparents to campus to enjoy lunch with students and meet with their teachers.

During the classroom visits, grandparents were able to see examples of their students’ work and hear of the progress the students have made during the first few weeks of school.

The grandparents were also presented with tokens of appreciation that included a fall-themed message, “Thank you for ‘be-leaf-ing’ in me.”
