Missouri City Branch library presents children’s programs

Missouri City Branch Library, 1530 Texas Parkway, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month.  These programs are free and open to the public.

Toddler Time — Tuesdays at 10:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are October 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.

Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:15 am each Wednesday, and at 10:30 am each Saturday. Program dates are October 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, and 31.

Pajama Night Story Time — Mondays at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for the activities presented during the daytime.  The program dates are October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.

The After-School Break — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades –takes place on the 2nd Thursday, beginning at 4:30 pm. The After-School Break on October 11 will be “Fall Crafts.”

The Teen Program, which begins at 5.00 pm on the 3rd Tuesday, is designed for youth in grades 6-8. The Teen program on October 16 will be “Gory Goodies & Scary Stories.”
