Cinco Ranch Credit Union robbed

Two men wearing orange traffic vests and blue surgical gloves entered the Cinco Ranch branch of the 1st Community Credit Union and robbed it Monday after just before 2p.m.

According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, the credit union employees were held at gunpoint as they were forced to hand over cash. Photographs taken by surveillance cameras show one suspect standing over a female as she reaches into what what appears to be a vault of teller’s drawers, also in that photo a man, arms raised so his hands are visible, can be seen looking on. The duo was also captured on camera as they left the bank toting what appears to be a black garbage bag.

The suspects were described as white males, one in his mid to late 20s the other in his mid-40s. Both men were wearing dark sunglasses to obscure their eyes and caution orange traffic vests. Sheriff’’s spokesman Bob Haenel said, “The younger male had a fake mustache, and the older was wearing a painter’s mask. The younger suspect was wearing a dark baseball cap and the older suspect was wearing a maroon baseball cap.”

The two left the credit union with an undisclosed amount of cash in a gray or metallic colored sedan. Haenel said no physical injuries were reported.
