First Colony Branch Library to present origami series for children
The Youth Services department at Fort Bend County Libraries’ First Colony Branch Library will present a special 4-part series for children, “Outrageous Origami with Peggy Rate,” on Tuesdays, November 6, 13, 20, and 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land. Children in the 3rd grade and up may attend individual sessions or the whole series.
Learn how to fold some simple and fun origami models with art teacher and origami enthusiast, Peggy Rate.
The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited to 15 participants at each session, however, and registration is required. Registration will begin one week prior to each class, starting on October 30 for the first session. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “First Colony Branch Library,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2815, or by visiting the library.
