Hollywood actress shares personal secret to benefit Foundation for Life
Actress Shari Rigby, who starred in the movie, October Baby, will speak about her abortion and its profound effects on her life at the 36th Annual Foundation for Life Banquet & Auction, to benefit the Maternal Assistance Program.
The event will be held at the Marriott Town Square Hotel in Sugar Land on Saturday, November 10. Rigby, the headline speaker, will be joined by Melissa Ohden, an abortion survivor and pro-life speaker. The two young women will relate their experiences from both sides of the tragic abortion issue and the profound effects their experiences have had on their lives.
October Baby is an award-winning film that follows the journey of a college student who learns that she was adopted after a failed abortion. Rigby, who plays the part of the birth mother in October Baby, will share the story of her own secret abortion more than 20 years ago.
The Master of Ceremonies will be Dan Patrick, Texas State Senator and conservative radio talk show host on KSEV 700 AM. The VIP reception will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a silent auction.
