Fort Bend County Social Services partners with Houston Food Bank
Fort Bend County Social Services will serve as a new outreach site for State Health And Human Services benefits. Services the Houston Food Bank will be able to provide through Fort Bend County Social Services include application assistance with the following State programs:
• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly Food Stamps
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash benefits
• Children’s Medicaid
• Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
• Women’s Health Program (Family Planning, Health screenings)
• CHIP Perinatal Program
Additional services will also be provided including a call center hotline (832-369-9390), education and outreach, and pharmacy discount cards.
Fort Bend County residents needing assistance can be seen on a walk-in basis at the Fort Bend County Rosenberg Annex, 4520 Reading Road, Rosenberg, on each Friday of the month and at the Missouri City Annex, 307 Texas Parkway, Suite 235, Missouri City, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
