Fort Bend County West Nile Virus cases numbers 14
Fort Bend County Health & Human Services has received confirmation of 2 additional West Nile Virus illnesses. This brings the count of West Nile cases in Fort Bend County to 14. To date there have been no deaths in Fort Bend County due to West Nile Virus this year.
Please note the type of West Nile Illness is now included on the table. West Nile Fever (WNF) symptoms include fever, headache, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, skin rash, and swollen lymph glands. West Nile Neuroinvasive disease (WNND) symptoms are more serious and include headache, high fever, stiff neck, disorientation, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, coma, and paralysis.
