Walker Elementary celebrates 20th anniversary

Walker Station Elementary first opened its doors to students and families in 1992.  The school is celebrating this 20 year milestone with two events during October.

On October 23, at 1:30 P.M., the students and teachers will parade around the perimeter of the school celebrating the anniversary motto, “Remembering the Past, Dreaming of the Future.” Each grade level has chosen a theme to represent events from l992.  The floats, created by WSE students, will showcase music, television shows, and toys from 1992.  All members of the community are invited to come and watch this parade as the staff and students celebrate wonderful Walker Station memories.

On October 25, the school will host a 20th Anniversary Reunion from 6:00 to 7:30 for all former administrators, staff, former parents, and former students.  There will be a short program and an opportunity for everyone to visit and remember the good times they had at WSE.  The teachers at Walker Station are looking forward to visiting with all who attend.
