Learn about career and resume sources at library

With the increasingly competitive job market, job seekers are looking for ways to gain an edge and improve their chances of landing the right job.

Fort Bend County Libraries has a variety of free job-search resources and services that can help. Learn more about them when the Sienna Branch Library presents “Job-Search Resources @ the Library” on Wednesday, October 31, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab of the library, located at 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City.

The Adult Services staff will show how to take advantage of the library’s online resources that can help job-hunters improve a resumé, research prospective employers and industries, prepare for employment tests, improve computer skills, and find the right job.

The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sienna Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2952, or by visiting the library.
