Catwalk on City Walk raises money for local charity
Sugar Land Town Square recently hosted its 3rd Annual Catwalk on City Walk fashion show at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square. This year’s show raised more than $4,000 for Methodist Sugar Land Hospital’s Pretty in Pink Cancer Fund. This local organization assists patients in the Fort Bend community with the personal costs associated with cancer treatment.
The evening included a pre-show reception with light hors d’oeuvres provided by Whole Foods Market Sugar Land. The 45-minute runway show featured fashions by Sugar Land Town Square retailers with hair and makeup by An Albert Luiz Salon & Spa. After the show, guests enjoyed a champagne toast and cupcakes from The Sweet Boutique.
“We were thrilled to host Catwalk on City Walk again this year and would like to thank everyone who came out in support of a great cause,” said Shana Sonnier, marketing and event manager for Sugar Land Town Square. “The money raised will be put to good use by our friends at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital in their efforts to help Fort Bend residents with their medical costs.”
New this year, celebrity models walked alongside the professionals: Jacqueline Baly Chaumette, philanthropist, business executive and former councilmember; Michele Fisher, local radio personality, Sugar Land resident and fashionista; and Dr. and Mrs. Terry Holster, board certified in internal medicine, practicing at Internal Medicine Associates of Sugar Land. Dana Tyson of Sunny 99.1 was the evening’s emcee.
