Fort Bend ISD to participate in “Lights On Afterschool”

Fort Bend ISD Extended Day Program (EDP) staff will join schools and facilities across the nation in observing, “Lights on Afterschool,” the nationwide rally for afterschool programs. The rally, now in its 13th year, is organized by the Afterschool Alliance.

FBISD campuses will welcome families to see learning in action as they explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers and take part in various activities, including: “Night of Light” carnival games; Robotics;  Arts & crafts; Hamster ball races; Ring toss; and Face painting.

Families will also have the opportunity to meet their school’s Extended Day Program staff, and view some of the projects their children have completed in the afterschool program. There will also be door prizes and light refreshments served.

The times and activities at each site will vary; so, please contact your child’s Extended Day Program for more details.
