Rosenberg to celebrate completion of Blume Road Improvement Project
The City of Rosenberg will held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Blume Road, on Tuesday, October 23. Members of the Rosenberg City Council, along with members of the project team was on hand to celebrate the completion of the improvement project which began in July of 2011. The ribbon cutting was held near Macario Garcia Park (716 Blume).
The Blume Road Improvement Project included widening, utility and drainage improvements from Klauke to Spur 529. The completed roadway is now three concrete lanes with a designated center turn lane and curb and gutter. Sidewalks were constructed down the east side of the roadway for the full project length, and on both sides of the road in the residential sections for improved pedestrian access.
