During the week of October 8-12, Fort Bend ISD campuses observed “Bullying Awareness Week” by having students and staff take part in fun activities to promote the theme: “Taking Action Together.”
FBISD’s Safe and Drug Free Schools Department provided suggested activities, and schools also created their own events to share with students. At Lantern Lane Elementary School, for instance, students and staff wore their favorite hats to show that they “Put a Cap on Bullying.” At Quail Valley Elementary School, administrators, faculty and staff joined students in wearing colorful socks to indicate that Eagles “Put a Sock on Bullying.”
Other student activities throughout the week included signing a pledge, viewing video clips promoting anti-bullying messages, and performing random acts of kindness.
