Missouri City Branch Library hosts free children’s programs

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Missouri City Branch Library, 1530 Texas Parkway, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month.  These programs are free and open to the public.

Toddler Time — Tuesdays at 10:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are November 6, 13, 20, and 27.

Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:15 am each Wednesday, and at 10:30 am each Saturday. Program dates are November 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, and 28. The library will be closed on November 24.

Pajama Night Story Time — Mondays at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for the activities presented during the daytime.  The program dates are November 5, 19, and 26. The library will be closed on November 12.

The After-School Break — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades –takes place on the 2nd Thursday, beginning at 4:30 pm. The After-School Break on November 8 will be “Thanksgiving Crafts.”

The Teen Program, which begins at 5.00 pm on the 3rd Tuesday, is designed for youth in grades 6-8. The Teen program on November 20 will be “Trivia Challenge & Game Night.”

For more information, please call the branch library at 281-238-2100 or the Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
