Two Lamar CISD seniors named National Merit Semifinalists

Two Lamar CISD students are Semifinalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Foster High School’s Alyssa Eaves and George Ranch High School’s Anthony Rodriguez are among only 16,000 students still eligible for a National Merit Scholarship. Both students are seniors.

About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and more than half the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title.
