Make string-art creations at library program
Learn how to make string-art pictures at a special program “Crafting: String Art” on Tuesday, November 13, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the Small Meeting Room at Fort Bend County Libraries’ University Branch Library, 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land, on the UH campus.
Deeba Rehman, a member of the library’s Adult Services department, will demonstrate how to make geometric designs using yarn and paper. String-art pictures can be made with very simple or quite elaborate designs. For more intricate designs, those attending the program may wish to bring their own embroidery floss.
The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “University Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-633-5100, or by visiting the library.
