Sugar Land’s Economic Development office launches new website
Sugar Land’s new economic development website – www.sugarlandecodev.com – allows the city to remain competitive when competing for new jobs and capital investment.
The website now includes a comprehensive set of easily accessible economic development information such as demographics, available properties, research reports, site selection data, incentives, partner agencies and community/quality of life amenities.
The site also highlights the city’s major corporate businesses and top employers.
“Developing a world-class economic development website is a challenging project,” said Director of Economic Development Regina Morales. “This site reflects the thinking and efforts of the city’s Economic Development team, as well as our commitment to being open and accessible to the businesses, citizens, developers, site selectors and other business prospects that we work with daily.
“This site will significantly increase our ability to provide detailed and accurate information that is critical to decision makers.”
Enhancements to the website include:
• improved navigation allowing visitors to quickly find information in a more organized format;
• enhanced downloads that enable the use of a site “cart” to save reports and charts into printable formats;
• a GIS tool to improve efficiency and access to a wide range of layers and information; and
• upgraded collateral such as new brochures and community summaries with updated brand elements and updated 2012 Census information.
