FBJSL celebrates successful Sugar Plum Market with Encore Party

To celebrate another successful Sugar Plum Market and to recognize its sponsors, the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL), together with 2012 Sugar Plum Market title sponsor, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, will host an Encore Party Thursday, December 13 at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital.  During the party, the total Market proceeds and beneficiaries will be announced.

This year’s Market featured over 100 vendors from across the state and was attended by more than 6,000 patrons. “We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the Market a success,” said FBJSL President Laura Thompson.  “Everyone from the sponsors to the volunteers to the patrons had a part in helping to raise necessary funding for local Fort Bend charities.”

Last year’s Market raised over $200,000 and was the largest amount raised to date from a single event of the FBJSL. Over the past 11 years, FBJSL, through the League’s many projects and events, has contributed more than $2.1 million to various charities in Fort Bend County.
