Fort Bend Family Promise Golf Tournament set for November 19

Fort Bend Family Promise will hold its 8th annual charity golf tournament at Sugar Creek Country Club on Monday, November 19. Registration is $150 per person; the practice range opens at 11:00 a.m. The scramble format-shotgun start for the four-player teams begins at 12:15 p.m.; dinner and awards follow the conclusion of play.

Again this year, golfers will have the opportunity to win a new vehicle valued at more than $40,000. The Hole-In-One, or Car-In-One contest is sponsored by David Taylor.

Fort Bend Family Promise was recently awarded a challenge grant from the George Ranch Foundation to purchase property to build a much-needed new Family Service Center. “As part of our financial plan, we have set a goal to double the proceeds from last year’s golf outing” said McCullough.

Families with children are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population in Fort Bend County.
