LCISD’s Derrick Griffin to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl
Terry High School’s Derrick Griffin will play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, to be played January 5 in the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The annual football game features the nation’s top 90 players and is televised on NBC. Griffin was a preseason All-Houston selection in football and is also a preseason All Houston selection in basketball. He has committed to play both sports at Texas A&M University.
Terry head football coach Tim Tekyl will also travel to San Antonio to attend the U.S. Army Coaches Academy, an elite three-day learning experience featuring NFL coaches.
Griffin, a wide receiver, was selected by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee, which consists of All American Games’ network of regional directors and Rivals.com.
