Mira Sankhavaram achieves the award by improving her community

Mira Sankhavaram of Girl Scout Troop 724 – Rainbow Stars Service Unit recently marked a major milestone with the successful completion of the Girl Scout Silver Award—the highest achievement a Girl Scout Cadette can receive.

Mira performed different Indian classical Bharatanatyam dances in the Sugar Land Atria over the course of 5 weeks. Her goal was to show part of Indian Culture by providing insight into and entertainment of Indian classical dance to the retired people.

She worked a total of 50 hours for this award.

Mira is the daughter of Krishna and Anu Sankhavaram and is a freshman at Travis High School.
