“Humanitarian of the Year” event to honor Carole and Bob Brown
The annual Humanitarian of the Year Event, sponsored by the Fort Bend Rotary Club and honoring Carole and Bob Brown, will be held on December 4.
Bob Brown, the founder of Sugarland Telephone Company and Carole Brown have dedicated themselves for years to community service in Fort Bend County. We invite you, friends, business leaders and members of the community to join together in recognizing them.
Volunteerism and service are important to the members of the Fort Bend Rotary, and they demonstrate these beliefs in giving their time and support to charitable organizations both in the states and abroad. Recipients of the rotary’s support include Shared Dreams, Fort Bend ARC, Asians Against Domestic Abuse, Fort Bend Family Health Center, Sugar Land AARP, Helping Hands, Sugar Land’s Halloween Boo Bash, Fort Bend Meals on Wheels, Bio Medical Training Program in Haiti and Shri Mahaganapati Charity Hospital in India. In addition, Rotary contributes to the Academic Excellence Program with FBISD and sponsors the Interact Club at Kempner High School. Scholarships to college bound students are awarded yearly.
The Humanitarian Event of the Year will be held at Safari Texas on December 4, at 6:30p.m. The dress code is business attire. Following dinner, highpoints of the evening will be remarks by Bob Brown and a live auction with Jeff Council serving as our auctioneer. Come join us in honoring Carole and Bob Brown and in engaging with friends, savoring good food, and having a grand and memorable evening.
Individual tickets are $100, and sponsorship opportunities start at $1,000through $2,500.
