Holiday concert to be held by AHS Orchestra

The Austin High School Orchestra, under the direction of Carolyn Vandiver and Jon Law will present it “Holiday Concert” on Thursday, December 6 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, at 3434 Pheasant Creek Drive, Sugar Land. Admission to the concert is free.

The concert will feature a moving rendition¬† of “Overture to Messiah”, “Shabbat Shalom”, and “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”, plus a medley of holiday songs.

The Austin High School Orchestra has 216 members enrolled in 6 orchestras. Each orchestra level will be represented at the concert.

The concert is made possible, in part, by funds from FBISD and AHS Orchestra Booster Club. Refreshments will be sold at 6:30 p.m. before the concert and during intermission.
