Its that time again….Battle of the Bend where the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Enforcers defend their title against the Sugar Land Police Chargers in the annual Fort Bend Holiday Bowl.

This is the Seventh Annual Fort Bend Holiday Bowl; a flag football game between the two agencies aimed at raising funds and gathering toys for charity. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, at Fort Bend Christian Academy’s Eagle Field, located at 1250 Seventh St. in Sugar Land.

The gates will open at noon with activities for children, including moonwalks, face painting and more. Admission to the game is a newly purchased unwrapped toy.

All proceeds from this game will support the efforts of the Deputy Sheriff’s Association’s “Santa Behind the Badge” program and the Sugar Land Police Officers Association’s Toys for Tots-Fort Bend Christmas charity organization.

Any monetary donation will be used to purchase more toys for distribution.
