“A Christmas Concert” to be held December 9

’Tis the season for “A Christmas Concert” at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sugar Land. In addition to the sounds of the season at the Dec. 9 event, the Church’s Houston Texas South Stake will honor national public relations executive Mark DeMoss for his efforts in bringing together many different faith-based groups.

The sixth-annual musical event is free to the public and features a food drive benefiting the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. Food bins will be located around the building for attendees who wish to donate. The concert will include Christmas music by the Houston Texas South Stake Choir and Houston-area performers. Refreshments will be served afterwards. The event begins at 6 p.m. at 14555 Lexington Blvd. in Sugar Land.

“Mark DeMoss has tirelessly worked to serve people of faith for nearly three decades. His firm operates on Christian principles that the Church values highly and is proud to honor,” said Houston South Stake President Kenneth S. Barrow. “This year’s concert also provides us an opportunity as we celebrate the birth of Christ to give to the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, an organization that is at the forefront of meeting the needs of people in our community.”
