Willowridge High School’s Theatre Arts Department will present Lillian Hellman’s The Children’s Hour on December 5, 6 and 7 at 6:00 pm, and December 8 at 3:00 pm in the school’s McNair Auditorium (16301 Chimney Rock, Houston, 77053).

The Children’s Hour is a 1934 stage play written by Lillian Hellman that  is laced with a rumor that snowballs into tragic, irreversible consequences. The drama is set in an all-girls boarding school run  by two women, Karen Wright and Martha Dobie. An angry student, Mary Tilford, runs away from the school, and to avoid being sent back tells her grandmother that the two headmistresses are having an affair. The accusation proceeds to destroy the women’s careers, relationships and lives.

Come out and see how the story unfolds. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $5 for students. Presale tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for students. For more information, call Theatre Director Kai Jackson at (281)634-2539.
