Back in September a Telfair family was terrorized and held hostage by armed intruders; one suspect has been arrested.
On Monday night, September 24, 2012, shortly before 10 p.m., a family residing at a home on Baldwin Crossing in the Telfair subdivision answered a knock at the front door. When the resident opened the door for a purported pizza delivery man, the house was stormed by pistol wielding men.
During the home invasion, the 53 year old woman of the home was beaten in the head. According to police, her injuries were not life threatening, however she was transported to a Houston hospital for treatment.
During the intrusion the suspects took televisions, cash, jewelry, phones, and the family’s 2003 Toyota Camry. According to police, the family has business interests in the metro Houston area. The suspects were all described as males with bandanas covering their faces, armed with handguns, driving a silver Toyota.
After a lengthy investigation Sugar Land Police have announced they are looking for Maydevis Molina, 23, of Houston, one of the men believed to be a suspect the Sept. 24 aggravated robbery. Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph said, “The men demanded money they believed was inside the house. The woman did not immediately provide the location of the money, so the men pistol whipped the woman.” Adolph said, “The suspects left with a large amount of cash, electronics and the woman’s 2003 Toyota Camry. The vehicle was later recovered by police in Houston.”
Sugar Land’s investigation has led to the arrest of Aaron Nathaniel Reyes, 18, of Houston, on Oct. 30. He has been charged with aggravated assault. Police continue to search for Molina and the two other men.
