Fort Bend Republican Women welcome new officers for 2013
Betty Adams, Judy Boyd, Yvonne Ramsey, Joyce Senior, Karen MCarter, Penny Hays, and Pat Hebert.
The Fort Bend Republican Women recently mixed business with pleasure, enjoying a holiday party at the private home of Rhonda and Brad Kerby and also installing new officers for 2013.
With Pat Hebert officiating, the new officers were sworn in:
Karen McCarter – President; Joyce Senior – 1st Vice President – Programs; Yvonne Ramsey -2nd Vice President – Membership; Judy Boyd – Treasurer/PAC Treasurer; Penny Hays – Recording Secretary; and Betty Adams – Corresponding Secretary.
The Republican Women support the community through outreach projects, gift wrapping at the Richmond State School, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels’ Senior Christmas Luncheon at the Bud O’Shield’s Senior Center, Caring for America – Wounded Warriors, Fort Bend Literacy – donations to schools, libraries and organizations where books are needed and Women’s Business and Wellness Drive – Richmond, Hispanic Outreach.
The club meets the third Monday at the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce offices, 445 Commerce Green Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77478, January – May and September – December. Meet and greets begin at 11:00 a.m., with the program 11:30 a.m., light lunch is provided.
