The Austin Angels are truly Angels in helping Adopt-A-Family

The holidays are a natural time to think about others, especially those less fortunate. This season again the Stephen F. Austin Dance Team – The Angels participated in the Women’s Pregnancy Center of Houston Adopt-A- Family program. Ms. Lilian Mason and Mrs. Ashlee Williamson, director and assistant director of the Angels respectively, rallied the team to contribute their fashion sense, knack for fun, and love for shopping to gather what was asked for by the 4 adopted families.

The Adopt-A-Family holiday campaign is designed to help local families enjoy a time of year when they need help the most. The Austin Angels were excited to give to families in need.

Not only were the Angels able to meet and exceed the adopted families wish lists, they also had a great time building stronger relationships within the dance team by doing this as a group.

The girls were amazed at how modest the wish lists were and how many basic needs were asked for.  Through this program, the girls are afforded the opportunity to engage in a “hands-on” project to provide assistance to families in need. By sponsoring the families, they help make the holidays truly blessed and spread cheer to others.
