Retired Educators donate books to Project L.E.A.R.N. students
Project L.E.A.R.N. Director Paula Bauer and L.E.A.R.N. Parent Educator Kristie Allen hand out a book to Paola Navarro, a 5th-grader at Travis Elementary.
Dennis Dahse, Doris Dahse and Shirley Connally (pictured on right side of the photo) were also on hand at L.E.A.R.N.’s annual Christmas party to represent the Fort Bend County Retired Educators Association, which donated books to all the children in Project L.E.A.R.N.
Project L.E.A.R.N. (Let’s Eliminate At-Risk Needs) is a family literacy program. While parents attend class, their children receive homework assistance, tutoring, or early childhood education. Parents attend Adult & Parent Education classes, and interact with their children through literacy-based activities.
