Intro computer classes presented at University Branch Library

The Adult Services staff at Fort Bend County Libraries’ University Branch Library, 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land on the UH campus, will present a variety of free, introductory computer classes this month. The classes will consist of a hands-on introduction to basic skills for people who would like to learn more about using these computer programs.

“MS Word Survival Basics” for version 2010 will take place on Thursday, January 10, beginning at 10:30 am, in the Computer Lab.

“Computers 101” will take place on Tuesday, January 15, beginning at 10:30 am, in the Computer Lab. Learn the basics of computer use.

“MS PowerPoint Survival Basics” for version 2010 will take place on Tuesday,
January 22, beginning at 10:30 am, in the Computer Lab.

The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “University Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-633-5150, or by visiting the library.
