Quail Valley Middle School Raidermath takes sweepstakes

Shown are the QVMS Raidermath students.

Ninety-three students from QVMS traveled to Clear Lake High School to participate in a Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) practice competition.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th graders competed in number sense, calculator, general math and/or science. The Raidermath students took 1st place in both general math and general science and earned 2nd place in number sense and calculator.

These awards earned them the highest total points overall – allowing the QVMS Raiders to earn their first sweepstakes competition!

The students are coached by Gwen Curtice and Don Simmons.
