Recycling holiday trees announced by Missouri City

Holiday tree recycling will be available to Missouri City citizens again this year. Households that participate in the municipal trash program and receive solid waste collection from Republic Services must place their trees at the curb by 7 a.m. for guaranteed pickup on one of these days: *Monday, Jan. 7; *Tuesday, Jan. 8; and *Saturday, Jan. 12.

All residents may drop off their trees at the Missouri City Recycling Center, 1919 Scanlin Rd., from Dec. 28 to Jan. 31.

Please clear all trees of decorations and stands before placing them at the curb or bringing them to the Recycling Center.

And, cooking oil may not be deposited at the City’s Recycling Center but can be taken free of charge to the Fort Bend County Recycling Center, 1200 Blume Rd., Rosenberg, 281.633.7581.
