Sugar Mill student named Star Author

Kurt Kauffman, 5th grade student at Sugar Mill Elementary, was recently named one of six Star Authors by the Read3Zero Foundation of Houston.  Kurt’s short story, My Life as a Jalapeno with Spiceaphobia, was published by Read3Zero in a book of short stories written by students from the Houston area. A book signing event was held at the downtown Houston Public Library in honor of the young authors.  The title of the book is : I WRITE, Short Stories by Kids, For Kids.
