Can 2013 Possibly Be The Year of Common Sense Leadership?
Someone once said, “Liberals are all about love. They love poor people…as long as they stay poor and remain dependent upon the government. They love choice…as long as it’s not about education, energy, healthcare, commerce, the EPA, unions, legal gun ownership, securing our southern border or the rights of the unborn.”
Have you made your New Year’s resolutions and predictions yet? Let’s take a moment and make a few predictions: (1) Morsi will transform Egypt into an Islamist state; (2) Russia will continue to support Syria’s Assad regime; (3) Iran will be nuclear ready before this administration’s term is up; (4) The First Lady will continue to tout voter suppression without evidence, while dividing our nation; (5) Eric Holder will not prosecute HSBC’s criminals; (6) The National Counterterrorism Center will continue to build its massive database against innocent American civilians; (7) The President and Secretary of State will not be prosecuted for the Benghazi debacle; and, (8) Millions of Americans will continue to be lulled into sleep as to what is happening to our great nation.
As Conservatives understood at the get-go with Benghazi, we knew that we were lied to. We knew that the Secretary of State and her top people were aware what was happening and that no effort was made to save the four innocent lives that tragically perished. This was clearly gross incompetence on all fronts. The Secretary of State is a member of this President’s cabinet. This incident wasn’t a microscopic blip. This was a downright assault.
When is Congress going to demand hearings on why Eric Holder and Lennie Brewer from the Attorney General’s office refuse to prosecute HSBC (the second largest bank worldwide) for transferring billions of dollars for the Mexican drug cartels, moving their money illegally through American subsidiaries? “There will be no individual prosecutions”?
Why isn’t Congress demanding hearings on the National Counterterrorism Center for building a massive database on innocent American civilians that it’s planning to use to track for possible suspicious behavior WITHOUT probable cause? Don’t Washington insiders comprehend the severity of this action and that the Patriot Act is being abused?
Why isn’t Congress demanding hearings on the sweeping overreaching regulatory power of the EPA over private property (under the Clean Water Act) where the EPA demands control of storm water runoff on private property, with the potential to take people’s homes and knock them down in order to plant grass so that the water soaks into the ground? The EPA is claiming that too much water can be classified as a pollutant. Wait a minute. Aren’t we in the midst of global warming, Al? Are you still buying the propaganda we’re being fed on “going green”?
During this season, God bless our great country and Happy New Year!
