Christmas trees may be left curbside for recycling

Sugar Land residents may recycle their live Christmas trees by placing them curbside on their green waste service day.

Christmas trees that are free of all ornaments, tinsel, trimmings, metal tree stands and plastic tree sacks can be recycled.  Flocked trees cannot be recycled and must be disposed of on a resident’s bulky waste day.

Bulky waste is for items too large to fit in the garbage cart and does not include construction, demolition or hazardous wastes.
