Lamar CISD names leaders for two newest schools

At its December meeting, the Lamar CISD’s Board of Trustees approved the hiring of principals for the District’s two newest schools.

Heather Patterson will be the first principal at Polly Ryon Middle School and Jennifer Zebold will be the inaugural leader at Judge James Aldolphus Elementary.

Patterson is currently the principal at Velasquez Elementary, which is a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. She has a bachelor’s from Texas Tech, her master’s from University of Houston-Victoria and became principal at Velasquez in 2009. Patterson opened the school as the assistant principal in 2006. Prior to entering administration, Patterson taught at Travis and Pink elementary schools in Lamar CISD.

Ryon Middle School will be a sixth-grade-only campus located next to George Ranch High School and Reading Junior High. It is scheduled to open in August, 2013.

Zebold will open Aldophus, also in August, 2013. She is currently principal at Williams Elementary, a post she has held since 2008. She has her bachelor’s from Southwest Texas State and her master’s from Houston Baptist University. Prior to coming to Lamar CISD, Zebold served as an assistant principal at two Katy schools. She also taught in Katy and Alief.

Aldophus is located in the Long Meadow Farms subdivision.
