New president of Fort Bend County Bar Association announced

Joshua R. Leal, 2013 President, Fort Bend County Bar Association.

The Showalter Law Firm is pleased to announce associate Joshua R. Leal has assumed responsibility as President, Fort Bend County Bar Association beginning Jan. 2013.

Mr. Leal served as the 2012 President–Elect for the Association, prior to becoming president. The 2013 President- Elect is Katy lawyer John Kelly. The Fort Bend County Bar Association is comprised of approximately 400 members, including judges, attorneys and paralegals.

The Bar Association is involved in community activities such as the Annual Golf Tournament, and Fort Bend Lawyers Care, which is a non-profit providing free legal services to the community.

Mr. Leal graduated from Baylor University School of Law in 2004, and joined the Richmond, Texas based  Showalter Law Firm as a civil litigation attorney, where he continues to practice. As president of the Fort Bend County Bar Association, Mr. Leal will preside over Bar Association meetings, including monthly Continuing Legal Education luncheons, which present topics of current interest to legal professionals.
