Above the law

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Ya’ know it’s funny, crooked cops never think they’re gonna get caught…they’re too smart. HA!

Seems last week a former Harris County sheriff’s deputy learned that lesson the hard way… when he entered a plea deal in Federal court for aiding possession of a controlled substance. According to federal agents it all began in July of 2012.

Ya’ see, this deputy got busted after the public corruption task force set him up in a sting. Gotta hate that!!! According to the Feds, this deputy patrolled the parking lot and provided cover while the deal was going, then followed instructions given to him by the informant. That would be oops to the 5th power!!!

Nuth’n like catching the attention of the FBI public corruption task force, the Houston Police Department and the Texas Rangers, along with the DEA and your home agency….the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Yep, this guy is above the law and dumber than a stump. In April, he faces a federal judge for sentencing up to 20 years and a possible fine of $1 million dollars.

So, how’s that above the law thing work’n for ya’?
