Amanda wins Sugar Land Middle School Spelling Bee

The SLMS spelling bee was held Thursday, January 10 and 6th grader, Amanda Nguyen, won the bee after 13 rounds. Amanda will now represent SLMS at the district spelling bee on Feb. 9 at Fort Settlement Middle School. Amanda is shown in this photo with pronouncer Carrie Turner, runner-up, Omar Siddiqui, and judges Janie Collier, Tara Jay, and Celeste Bokemeyer.
