Code enforcement to conduct sweeps in Missouri City
As part of Missouri City’s goal to protect property values and help keep their community one of America’s best, Code sweeps will continue this year throughout all neighborhoods.
After receiving numerous calls from homeowners in Quail Green regarding violations in the neighborhood, Code Enforcement inspectors will regularly visit the subdivision to observe if any infractions exist.
The goal of the sweeps is to educate residents about the City’s housing standards, emphasizing the importance enforcement has in helping to maintain quality neighborhoods. Warnings and citations will be issued.
Homeowners will be cited directly to court for violating the following codes:
• High grass or weeds
• Junk cars or vehicles, including those with expired license plates or inspection stickers
• Dirty pools – For a second violation, the following will be cited directly to court:
• Trash cans, yard waste or any type of garbage left out in public view, except during allowed times.
Notice of the sweeps was provided to the subdivision’s homeowner association earlier this month.
To report a code violation, call the Code Enforcement Hotline at 281-403-8560. For questions about the code sweeps, call 281-403-8600.
