“Rainbow Revue” benefits the Rainbow Room on Jan. 20

Jordan Gonsalves,, a vocal major (senior)at the High school of Performing and Visual Arts is a member of Sugar Land BSA Troop 301 working on his Eagle project.
As part of his project, he is organizing a family variety benefit concert, scheduled for January 20 to raise money for the Fort Bend Rainbow Room, a non-profit organization that provides emergency and transitional supplies for unmet material needs of children and families in crisis.’(www.fbrr.org.), in partnership with Child Protective Services.
The funds will specifically benefit the “School Project” which supplies a brand new backpack stuffed with sets of new clothes and new school supplies for each child in need, for the new school year. You can purchase tickets at www.slcaf.org which are $20.
Michele Fisher, radio personality of the new 93Q, will be the mistress of ceremonies and they will have an exciting line up of stellar performances in song and dance, covering all genres. Kristi Casey Deal as Marilyn Monroe who has performed at Universal Studios and was in People Magazine, Jordan Gonsalves with the Young Performers and the Imani Gospel Choir (all students from HSPVA), the Nationally acclaimed Lloyd Hughes on saxophone and the Fred Astaire Dancers will be entertaining, That’s just to name a few of the highly talented featured artists who will be performing that night.
The event will be held on Sunday, January 20, at 7 p.m., at the Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation- Auditorium at 226 Lakeview Drive, Sugar Land.
