In the early morning hours of January 21, 2013 Sugar Land Police responded to an aggravated robbery at the Chevron Food Mart located in the 13811 Southwest Freeway.
According to police spokesman Doug Adolph, “A black male, possibly in his early 20’s, slender build, 5’8″ to 5’10″, white/black rag over the face, sweatshirt with a red “C”, camouflage pants, black tennis shoes (white sole, yellow shoe strings), carrying a shotgun, approached the night clerk who was outside the business washing the mats and parking lot.”
Adolph said the suspect pointed his shotgun at the clerk and demanded that he open the front door of the store. Once the pair was inside the store, the shotgun toting terrorist forced the clerk to open the register and give him all the cash.
Once the gun toting terrorist had the store cash, he ran out of the store. Adolph said the store clerk was not injured.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
