Public meetings to be held on Fort Bend Subregional Plan
During the past 30 years, Fort Bend County has experienced great success and growth as one of the premier places to live and work in the country. In 2012, the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) initiated the Fort Bend Subregional Plan, a planning effort to help build on this success for the future, looking at long-range issues such as mobility, economic development and growth within the study area.
Initial public meetings were held in July to share study goals and objectives, identify local and regional priorities and start developing scenarios to guide planning efforts.
Since those meetings, the team working on the project has developed improvement opportunities to support the achievement of study goals. You are invited to attend the second round of meetings to give feedback on the plan recommendations and prioritization of projects:
Thursday, January 24, Sugar Land City Hall, Cane Room, 2700 Town Center Boulevard North, Sugar Land, 6-8 p.m. The meeting will be held again on Wednesday, January 30, George Memorial Library, Main Meeting Room, 1001 Golf View Drive, Richmond, 6-8 p.m.
Study Participants include: Arcola, Meadows Place, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Stafford, Sugar Land and Fort Bend County.
H-GAC representatives will be available at this meeting to answer questions. The content of the meeting will be essentially the same for both meetings so please try to make the one most convenient to you.

Requests from persons needing special accommodations should be received by H-GAC staff 24 hours prior to a function. The public meeting will be conducted in English and requests for language interpreters or other special communication needs should be made at least two working days prior to a function.
