Hot gumbo. Ahh-Yee!!! It’s time to prepare for the annual Gumbo Festival  provided to Cajuns (in spirit or bona fide) in Fort Bend County by the Rosenberg Rotary Club.

This year’s event will be filled with Cajun music and Mardi Gras fun, and it’s scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, February 8, in Building B at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the event go toward Rosenberg Rotary Club projects, including scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Lamar CISD and Needville ISD schools; support of parks projects in Rosenberg; and other charitable efforts and projects that benefit this area.

Besides the sumptuous gumbo, the evening will be filled with Cajun music favorites and live and silent auctions.

Sponsorships ranging from $100 to $1,500 are available. Single tickets are $25 each and will provide all-you-can-eat gumbo and two adult drink tickets. Other sponsorship packages are available.

For tickets or sponsorships or to donate an item toward the live or silent auction, call Club Past President Tom Stavinoha at (979)-793-4313 or Club Secretary Ginger Johnson at (832)-526-2726.
