Bless his heart –
By LeaAnne Klentzman
Remember that turning of the cheek thingie we all learned about in Sunday School….
Here’s a whole new twist –
A Southwest Houston church was targeted by a thief the other night. It seems the Reverend was notified of a problem at his facility so he called a congregation member who lived near the church to run over and check things out while he drove from home. Imagine the member’s surprise when he entered the church and caught a sorry, low down thief loot’n through the Reverend’s desk.
So, under the direction of the Good Book the congregant, with an assist from the Reverend, detained the thief until police could arrive. Imagine the patrol officer’s surprise when the thief was bagged, tagged and ready for transport.
However, the officer could not take him to jail all duc-tapped up and hogtied with electrical cord around his ankles. Seems, just a set of handcuffs would do. But ya gotta love the ingenuity of the flock.
What do ya bet they would have fed him and his fleet footed buddy if he needed food, but never mind, Harris County jail will take care of that.
Just do’n the Lord’s work, each and every day.
