Fourth Annual Helen Cordes Award Luncheon held
More than 200 people attended the Fourth Annual Helen Cordes Award Luncheon benefitting the Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. (FBRC).
The luncheon was held on January 17, at Safari Texas Ranch in honor of David Young, General Solicitor for the Union Pacific Railroad Company. The Cordes Family served as the event’s Honorary Chairs.
David Young is a dedicated community volunteer, and for the past nine years has helped FBRC grow and prosper. He served on FBRC’s Board of Directors from 2004-2010 and as Board President from 2008-2010. David was chosen to receive the Helen Cordes Award this year because of his steadfast devotion to the children, families and individuals served by FBRC.
Everyone enjoyed a wonderful lunch and heard a powerful testimonial of one man’s journey from a life of addiction and destruction to recovery and family restoration. His accomplishments were obtained through perseverance, strength and FBRC’s treatment programs.
