Drive-by shooting in Missouri City
By LeaAnne Klentzman
At about 1:00 am on the morning January 28, Missouri city police were called to investigate a drive-by shooting on Bowden Court in the Vicksburg subdivision.
According to Missouri City Police, two vehicles were observed to be on Bowden Ct. and allegedly the occupants fired shots at a vehicle parked in front of a residence. The suspects fled the location shortly thereafter.
Further investigation revealed that the street was littered with shotgun shells recovered by police. Later that same morning Fort Bend Sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle matching one of the suspect vehicles in this incident.
During that interaction, the sheriff’s deputy discovered shotgun shell casing along the windshield that were “similar” to those used in the drive-by.
No persons were reported injured in this incident; Missouri City police are still investigating. It is believed to be gang related.
