“Concert for a Cause” to be held st New Hope Lutheran Church

Sunday evening at 7pm on  February 10, New Hope Lutheran Church in Missouri City is hosting a special “Concert for a Cause” featuring two professional vocalists from New Orleans, Louisiana who have achieved some prominence in that musical city.

This will be an evening of Songs and Arias, celebrating the best of Valentine Day-themed romantic classical duets and Broadway favorites!

Performing nationally and internationally, Betsy Uschkrat, soprano, and Tyler Smith, tenor, collaborate with Steven Blackmon, pianist, to bring their talents to Fort Bend, benefiting two local non-profit interfaith agencies – Fort Bend Family Promise and the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.

Betsy and Tyler were just named winners of the Big Easy Award for best classical artists in New Orleans 2012, so we are pleased to have them perform in the Houston area for such a deserving cause.

Advance Tickets are recommended and available by going online at www. or call (281) 499-7611.

Light refreshments will be served after the concert so the audience can meet with the performers, and directors from each charity.
